Has it been a month?

So it's my one month anniversary. And guess what happened? This afternoon, I needed to lather up small humans with sunscreen to go to their swim meet and I took off my wedding band so it wouldn't get all gooky and...I forgot to put it back on. I didn't remember until after we were almost to the meet. And I missed it. Guess it really does only take a few weeks to develop a new habit. I don't even have to take it off anymore when I sleep. Amazing.

Oh and just an fyi...swim meets are from the devil. If you ever have small humans in your house and they want to do swimteam, do everything in your power to get a lacrosse stick in their hands, soccer cleats on their feet or a set of golf clubs on their backs. I still haven't found one redeeming quality to swimteam. I'm looking but I just don't think it's there.

We're headed to Baltimore tomorrow night for our familymoon. Science museum, children's museum, aquarium and the Rainforest Cafe. Good times.

Hmmmmmm...well, I would agree with about four of those. I need to find that $1500 a month I've been getting paid...I wonder if it has been collecting interest.

Same Same but Different

This was one of my favorite phrases when I went to visit Shelley in Thailand. If I didn't hate buying tourist shirts so much, I would have gotten one that said that on it.

When thinking about my life after getting married, this is the phrase that comes to mind. It's the same but different. We still do the same things in our house. But it's different and makes me giggle a bit involuntarily when I call him my husband.

The ring is driving me crazy. I am getting used to it but I really really really hate having anything on me for an extended period of time. And the thing is the ring is very pretty and very simple. But it still bothers me. I sometimes take it off and put it on another finger just to give my one finger a break.
